New Zealand lead by 296 at the end of the 4th day

New Zealand set up a massive ask from a young Sri Lankan team with a 405 lead at the end of the 3rd day.
Kiwi opener Latham managed to pitch in 109 run while Guptill fell short of a half century on 46 while KS williamson managed to score 71 runs.
The fourth day started with Sri Lanka at the crease and the visitors gave a fighting start but were in trouble with only 64 runs on the board for the loss of 2 wickets. The Lankan batting continued to struggle but Chandimal managed to put up a strong 31 and remain at the crease at the end of the day.
Sri Lanka was 109 for the loss of 3 wickets and require 296 runs with 7 wickets remaining
