Samantha Power, the US Ambassador to the United Nations will set off on an official visit to the North on the morning of Sunday, November 22.
Bi-lateral discussions were held between the US Ambassador and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mangala Samaraweera on Saturday.
According to the Foreign Ministry, points regarding the strengthening of ties between the United States and Sri Lanka were discussed.
During the course of her visit, Samantha Power is set to hold discussions with state officials, civil and youth representatives.
